Great ideas deserve memory.

Congratulations, hackers! Thank you for building what Peru needs. We’re here to help your agents remember and your ideas go further.

Lima, Peru · Oct 17–18, 2026 · 30 hours to build

A hackathon ends. What you build can keep going.

Your starting point

You bring the idea. We bring the memory.

Every Hack the Andes participant gets 5 months of AtomicMemory Pro. Time to build, test and keep going after the demo.

Give your idea continuity

More than answers. Remember, learn, continue.

Atomic Memory is memory infrastructure for AI applications. Store context, retrieve it when it matters and understand what your agent remembers.

  • Personalization

    An assistant that knows you.

    Remember preferences and goals across conversations. A tutor could pick up a topic a student struggled with instead of starting over.

  • Shared context

    Agents with the right context.

    Organize memory by user and agent within your project. A support assistant could retrieve the context of a case before responding.

  • Visibility

    A demo you can explain.

    Inspect what was stored and the retrieval traces. When a fact changes, show how memory updates and which context your agent uses.

Ideas to inspire you. The three official tracks will be revealed in Lima on October 17.

From idea to your first memory

Less setup. More time building.

  1. Create your account

    Sign up for AtomicMemory and keep HACKTHEANDES handy. Contact our team to confirm how to redeem it.

  2. Set up your project

    Create a Cloud project and a key under API Keys in the console. Set ATOMICMEMORY_API_KEY as an environment variable on your server.

  3. Store. Retrieve. Use it.

    Install the SDK, store a fact and search for it with the same user. Pass the retrieved context to your model before generating the response.

  4. Let your demo prove it

    Open another conversation and retrieve that fact. Check Memories and Traces in the console to show what happened.

your-first-memory.mjs
npm install @atomicmemory/sdk
// Node.js 22+ · run on your server
import { MemoryClient } from '@atomicmemory/sdk';

const memory = new MemoryClient({
  providers: {
    atomicmemory: {
      apiUrl: 'https://api.atomicstrata.ai',
      apiKey: process.env.ATOMICMEMORY_API_KEY,
    },
  },
});
await memory.initialize();

// 1. Remember something that matters
await memory.ingest({
  mode: 'text',
  content: "I want to practice algebra with examples.",
  scope: { user: 'student-01' },
});

// 2. Retrieve it in the next conversation
const context = await memory.search({
  query: "How do they prefer to study?",
  scope: { user: 'student-01' },
});

console.log(context.results);

One user. Two conversations. The same context.

Answers for the road ahead.

The essentials before you start.

Talk to our team
Who gets the 5-month Pro benefit?

All Hack the Andes participants, according to the benefits published by the event. The code is HACKTHEANDES. Registering for the event does not guarantee a spot; admission is managed by the organizers.

How do I redeem HACKTHEANDES?

Create your AtomicMemory account and save the code. Our team can confirm the activation steps and billing terms for this promotion.

Ask about activation
Does Atomic Memory replace my AI model?

No. It is the memory layer you connect to your application. Your model generates responses; Atomic Memory stores and retrieves context you can include before generating those responses.

Can I use it with my current stack?

You can integrate the TypeScript SDK, use the HTTP API from other languages, or explore integrations with frameworks and agents through MCP.

Are winner prizes awarded to each team member?

The event announces AtomicMemory plans as prizes for winning teams. Individual subscriptions for each member have not been announced. Confirm allocation and activation with the organizers.

Where can I find a team or ask about the event?
